What are the pros and cons of a direct conflict

The conflicts are inevitable in any society. In order to meet the need a person operates somehow. His operations affect the others and cause a feedback. The feedback can be positive, neutral and negative. As a result of the negative feedback we get a conflict.

I understand the direct conflict as a quarrel or not pleasant conversation when people blame, express their thoughts and feelings or even when people fight. The indirect conflict unveils verbally via sarcasm or in some actions that are intended to take revenge or to punish somebody or to make something unpleasant for the opponent. What is important, that the causes and the goals of such behaviour are usually less clear (sometimes even for a person who operates in such way).

The positive point of the indirect conflict that usually it is not sharp. Therefore it does not attract a lot of attention and people can continue communication for a long time inspite the conflict.

I suppose the direct conflict can be a method to improve the relations when it is aimed to stop the contradiction and the parties are interested in the continuous communication and cooperation.

People are honestly declare their vision of the situation, reveal the problem and discuss the possible solution. In another situation, the direct conflict can lead to undesirable consequences because it is usually sharp, it attracts a lot of attention around and after it,it can be revealed that there is only one exit left - to place a full stop in some relations.
