1. I can assume that the causes of outsourcing are economical. The obvious company, which recrute stuff, has to organise needed conditions for work - the workplaces, equipped with special equipment and materials, has to pay salary and taxes, to provide managing and control. As a result of the involvement of the different company for some functions, the company excludes some activities from the operation and, therefore, change the internal structure of the company. According to the popularity of this tool i can make a wild guess that outsourcing brings some economical benefits. Otherwise this tool would not be used so often. What is important is to understand the precise requirements to the function that shoud be outsourced in order to write them in the contract. Taking into account the necessity of motivation it would be appropriate to include fines for the breached of the contract.
2. People is a part of nature. Therefore people should be responsible for the ethical relation to nature. Taking into account that production of cosmetics is often connected with chemical ingredients, it would be nice to have guarantees that the methods of production are nature-friendly and do not bring damage to environment, plants and animals and therefore to people. However there are a lot of activists worldwide who fight against environmental pollution and against animal cruelty unfortunately there are a lot of laws that allow unethical relation to nature. And therefore it is the responsibility of the customer to choose the ethically produced products. In addition, the information that the product was ethically produced, indirectly informs people about the responsibility of the company, that produced the cosmetics and therefore gives to the people the additional guarantees that the product is safe and qualitative
