<clog_activity>
<clog_expressions>
bungee jumping = activity of jumping off a very high bridge or similar structure, with a long elastic rope tied to your legs, so that the rope pulls you back before you hit
paragliding = recreational and competitive adventure sport of flying paragliders: lightweight, free-flying, foot-launched glider aircraft with no rigid primary structure. The pilot sits in a harness or in a cocoon-like 'pod' suspended below a fabric wing
skydiving = sport in which a person jumps from an aircraft and falls for as long as possible before opening a parachute
wingsuit flying = sport of skydiving using a webbing-sleeved jumpsuit called a wingsuit to add webbed area to the diver's body and generate increased lift, which allows extended air time by gliding flight rather than just free falling. The modern wingsuit, first developed in the late 1990s, uses a pair of fabric membranes stretched flat between the arms and flanks/thighs to imitate an airfoil, and often also between the legs to function as a tail and allow some aerial steering
mph = miles per hour; multiply the speed in km/h by 0.621371 to get the speed in mph, and multiply the speed in mph by 1.60934 to get the speed in km/h
to drift = to be carried slowly by a current of air or water
glacier /ˈɡlasɪə,ˈɡleɪsɪə/ = slowly moving mass or river of ice formed by the accumulation and compaction of snow on mountains or near the poles
to boom = to have a period of rapid growth; to become bigger, more successful, etc
to leap = to jump high or a long way; to move or do sth suddenly and quickly; to increase suddenly and by a large amount
to rocket = to increase very quickly and suddenly; to move very fast; to achieve or to make sb/sth achieve a successful position very quickly
to squeal = to make a loud, high sound, often because of fear or excitement
to blindfold = to deprive (someone) of sight by tying a piece of cloth round the head so as to cover the eyes
vestibular apparatus = sensory system that creates the sense of balance and spatial orientation for the purpose of coordinating movement
white water rafting = recreational outdoor activities which use an inflatable raft to navigate a river or other body of water
adrenaline rush = when scared or stressed suddenly, adrenaline is quickly sent into the body. This is commonly known as an adrenaline rush because it happens so fast
